Kathmandu View Hotel is situated in the heart of Nepal’s capital Kathmandu and very close to the tourist district Thamel. The secluded seven-story building has been opened in autumn 2009 only and resembles a Tibetan monastery. The roof terrace offers an unspoilt panoramic view of Kathmandu, Swayambhunath and the nearby mountains (Lhakpa Dorjee and Ganesh). Thamel is only 2 minutes’ walk away and the famous Durbar Square or Monkey Temple can be reached in 20 minutes by foot. The special feature of this hotel is the warm, familiar atmosphere and the Nepalese hospitality.

Great Place to stay in Kathmandu. Have been here for a view nights after some climbing Mera Peak and i liked the place a lot. Great breakfast and wonderful location to get around in Thamel. Super friendly and helpful stuff and good quiet rooms.
Amazing Experience in Kathmandu It was such a amazing hotel. The staff were very helpful, and the interior is so pretty. It was a 5-star experience. Also, since the hotel contributes to charity foundation ( Ngima Dawa Foundation), I was even more please to stay here. Amazing Meal, Amazing View and Amazing Staff. Nice location surrounded by nature.
The place to stay in Kathmandu! For me, KVH is the best Hotel for trips to Kathmandu and Nepal. I've been there twice for a few days (2017 and 2019), before and after trekking tours in the Himalayas. The hotel is clean, provides hot shower, free wifi and good food. The atmosphere is very familiar, combines Tibetian and Nepali style and you can always ask for help, sightseeing tours, guides, drivers and good restaurants in Thamel. I wouldn't choose any other hotel!
Great place to stay. Kathmandu View Hotel is a great place in Thamel, a tourist friendly part of town in Kathmandu. The owner, Pema, is a fantastic host and is very helpful and easy to talk to about all questions about Nepal (also in German!). Together with her very friendly staff, they really make you feel at home. The view from the top floor is amazing. Would stay here anytime again and would love to come back. Thanks again for everything.
